About Free WiFi Free WiFi is an initiative which began in the spring of 2008 in Edmonton, Alberta. Our mission is to bring free, accessible, wireless internet access to all of Edmonton. We will never charge you for access to our network! However, we need you to view our splash page from time to time and we place ads on it to cover our costs. Ideally we will develop our service into a well-tuned community resource for all laptop and cell phone toting Edmontonians.
